Sheepshead Bay Bungalows

The reconstruction of these Sheepshead Bay Bungalows was part of the Build It Back Program after the destruction of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. All the houses were elevated to the same height, 12 feet above the ground, to prevent future flooding during storms. While some of the original bungalows were salvageable, new houses were replaced by a two-level dwelling that sponsored cathedral height ceilings for the living area.

The documentation of this project was completed in three phases: interiors photogrpahy, exterori session including drone photography and finally a videography presentation. During scouting sessions, we visited the site during consturction where exteriors were almost complete and interiors were photo ready before homeowners moving back into their newly elavated homes.
