Photographing a restaurant often means staying up all night to get the job done! While we do miss our Zzzzzz, we are also hyped to spend the time exploring an eatery when it is "off." The design of the space is "tailor-made" to the restaurant patrons' experience while dining. Hence the exploration of lower points of view is often used.
